Frequently Asked Questions:
(read through the #askbox tag before asking to see if I’ve already answered! repeat questions and spam will be deleted.)
1. What program and brush do you use?
Clip Studio Paint, and I alternate between two brushes: fat sketcher 2 from stealthnacho’s brushset, and short vertical bar (dual brush) from sparth’s art pack 1
2. What tablet do you use?
I use a Surface Pro 8, which is a laptop where you can draw directly onto the screen. However, this is a really pricey purchase and before I had it, I used an Intuous Tablet for 6 years and loved it.
Tumblr media
3.Can I repost your art on other platforms?
You can, but please credit me every time!
4.Can I write a fic/make fanart/ make an OC based on your AU?
Yeah sure!
5.Have you thought of what monster [insert character] would be? / Will you be adding [insert character] to the monster AU?
If I haven’t talked about certain characters already, I probably won’t at all. And I don’t have anything against these characters, but it’s more like I’m largely indifferent and have 0 thoughts. Do what you will, I made my AU as a sandbox for others to play in too, so you decide what to do with these characters!
6.Will you ever draw Konig/Soapbox again?
If I feel like it, probably! But the brainrot where it was the main focus has definitely passed <3
7. Can I use your art for c.ai/ character bots?
I'd really prefer it if you didn't, sorry! I take a largely anti-AI stance on most things now.

Mariana Jimenez-Watson or MJ works in a normal pub living life paycheck to paycheck. Nothing exciting happens to her except the occasional drunk getting thrown out. She’s 24 working away and finds a wrench thrown into her very boring life. His name is Hobie and she thinks maybe, a little excitement isn’t awful. In fact she might start to crave some change for once.
Small moments of Hobie meeting his world’s MJ. AKA I made an MJ variant and I think she’s neat.
Chapter 17
It’s been a full month since the Goblin incident. Mariana’s been home, cast on her broken leg and a scowl on her face as she stares down at her phone.
Hobie’s pulled a disappearing act, like she was afraid of. He’s been texting her, but it’s always short. He’s mostly checking in, to see if she needs anything. Which she finds hysterical since he hasn’t stepped foot in her flat since before she was in the hospital.
She growls to herself and slams her phone down pulling her laptop onto her lap.
Back to job hunting, it’s somehow less stressful that waiting for Hobie to text her.
The pub exploded. Her home for the past four years…just gone overnight. Luckily no one died, but a good amount of people were in the A&E that night.
The owner of the pub called her, alongside her coworkers, he’s just taking the insurance money. He won’t reopen. It leaves a hole in her heart…alongside the sinking pit in her stomach, feeling guilt over being the reason the pub was attacked to begin with. It’s her fault.
She can’t think about it for longer than necessary, or she’ll cry.
She’s been pouring herself into job hunting. Not much else she could do with her broken leg. She hasn’t ever bothered looking for jobs in her field, she picked up the pub job while she was in university and just…never left. Her degree in journalism just sat untouched. She once upon a time was invested in reporting and getting good stories. Turns out people who frequent pubs are filled with good stories.
Now, she wonders if she should use her degree.
She’s been staring at the job listing for a staff reporter for the Daily Bugle. The pay is surprisingly okay, but she did her internship there and she remembers J. Jonah Jameson and he was, to put it politely, a colorful character. To be precise, he was a dick.
She sighs and bites her tongue before just applying. Worst case scenario she keeps looking. Best case she has income again. That’s all she really needs.
She’ll just have to wait and see.
Her phone buzzes and she grabs it quickly, her heart pounding.
It’s just Andy. She sighs in slight disappointment before grabbing her phone and texting her friend back.
Hobie’s fighting a losing battle in his own head. He’s been avoiding Mariana, and he knows he shouldn’t. He knows what he promised her. That doesn’t stop the anger bubbling under the surface.
He hates himself for putting her in danger. She could have died and it would have been his fault.
He’s blowing steam off by working. He hasn’t stopped patrolling for days. He maybe crashed for a nap on top of a building at two in the morning but for the most part he’s been catching criminals.
Mostly petty crimes. Did the guy hot wiring someone’s car need a black eye? Probably not. Hobie doesn’t care though. He strings the guy up and moves onto the next. Using random criminal after criminal as a punching bag for his own self-loathing.
Definitely not his finest moment. He just doesn’t care.
The image of MJ rolling into the back of the emergency room, screaming for him with a broken leg, bruised and covered in soot and blood had made him snap in some way.
He didn’t waste any time, the anger and rage filling his body. He swings back to where the Gobin had fallen. Where the explosion had sent the villain flying to.
Hobie paces the ground, looking for anything left. He would make sure if the explosion didn’t kill the Goblin than he would. He wasn’t taking chances on them coming back again.
He’d do anything to keep Mariana safe.
Hobie finds what he’s looking for. Some abandoned parking lot with debris everywhere. The Goblin's form crashed down into a car, broken glass and blood pooling on the ground.
He walks over to the car to check for any sign of a pulse from the villain. The Goblin’s body is mangled. One of the arms is twisted in such a way it looks like it’s been ripped out of its socket and bent backwards. Their legs are gone completely, the explosive impact hitting them immediately. The Goblin’s definitely dead. If not from the fall, from blood loss.
He curls his hands into fists, his nails biting into his palms as he looks down at the villain. Hobie’s anger doesn’t fade with the knowledge that the monster is dead. It festers inside of him. Boiling over and begging to escape.
Hobie finds something to swing and uses his strength to break open the exposed gas tank of the car. He rips it out, pouring the old leftover gas onto the corpse of the Goblin. Hobie doesn’t think twice before pulling out a match and lighting the scene on fire.
He watches the fire burn, bright and intense, it doesn’t settle what brews deep in his chest. The burning he feels in the back of his throat.
That was a month ago.
He’s been avoiding MJ. He’s texted her, checking in on her. He avoids her questions though. He hasn’t seen her face to face, not while she’s awake anyway.
He doesn’t think he can bring himself to. All he’s done for her is bring her into his dangerous world as Spider-Man. It’s selfish if he wants her to stay.
He’s not helping his own heart though when he visits her in the early hours of morning, hiding in the darkness of her room. He just needs to know she’s alive, breathing. It settles the unrest he has in his chest.
He’s put her in so many dangerous positions and he almost didn’t save her this last time. It makes his anxiety spike at just that idea. His brows furrow as he pushes her hair out of her peaceful sleeping face.
He physically can’t think about her dying. He doesn’t think he could recover from that. He needs her to be safe, he refuses to put her at risk anymore.
Hobie has to end this. He won’t put her in harms way and he won’t be the reason she dies. He refuses.
Mariana is hobbling around her home, already tired of being on crutches. It’s the middle of the night and she’s spent all day working on applying to jobs. She’s just spent. She just wants to heat up something to eat and go to bed.
She jumps when she hears knocking and she whips her head to look at her balcony. There on her balcony stood Hobie, and she doesn’t know if she’s ever seen him look worse.
She moves to the door, opening it for him. He slides in past her, unusually quiet as she assesses him. His eyes are dull and he has deep dark circles. He looks like he hasn’t been sleeping much if at all. His cheeks are hollower than ever and he looks worn. His
It enough to make her brace herself. The energy rolling off of him isn’t his usual and she hasn’t seen him in a month, she’s more than a little pissed herself.
The two stand in front of each other as the awkward silence fills the room. She wraps her arms around herself, almost to act like a shield.
Hobie takes a deep breath, and looks at her, “I can’t be with you. This,” he points between the two of them, “we can’t keep it up.” His voice is hard. His eyes avoiding her.
She bristles at his words, her face forming a scowl. “Excuse me?” she laughs in disbelief.
She barely notices it, but he flinches at her words. He sighs and looks in her eyes. “Mariana, please, don’t make me say it again.” His voice is low, and it shakes.
“No, no, you don’t get to come in here and demand for me to make this easy on you!” she shouts at him. Her face crumbling in hurt.
“You promised me Hobie. You promised you wouldn’t disappear on me again, you promised you wouldn’t!” She says, her voice raising with her hurt.
“I know what I promised and I can’t keep it!” He glares at the floor, burning holes into with how intense his gaze is. His eyes lift up to look at her.
“I only care about keepin’ ya safe MJ, and… if that means I’m not in your life…” His fists tighten, and he takes a step back.
She steps forward after him, “Well I don’t care about that!” she tells him with a firm voice. “It’s my life Hobie!”
“And that’s the problem!” He says coldly.
She pauses at his words. “Ya don’t care about yourself,” He steps closer to her and grabs her arms, “Your safety, your life… it isn’t disposable to me Mariana.” He whispers pressing his forehead to her shoulder. His arms shaking.
She relaxes under his touch, feeling guilt wash over her. She reaches up to rub her hand reassuringly on his back.
“I can’t lose you Mariana… I- fuck- I love you.” He confesses his voice shaking as he uses her for support.
MJ gasps at his soft confession. Her head is spinning. She pulls back to make him look at her.
“I, Hobie…” She takes a deep breath. “I don’t have to think when it comes to helping you… it’s just intuitive. I put myself in the situation with the Goblin, I know that, and I’m sorry.” She tells him, stressing her words. She goes to move his hands, holding them tightly in hers.
Her throats tight as she looks up at him, and how he’s obviously worried himself sick the past month. His dark eyes have bags and his face is slimmer. His knuckles are raw and scared with fresh scabs. He’s torturing himself.
“I know that you don’t think I’m careful, and I’m not.” She’s taking fast and stumbling over her words. She gives a breathy laugh that’s hollow, “I don’t think about me when it involves you because, Hobie,” she takes a shaky breath trying to find her words. “you’re the most important person in my life.” She squeezes his hands, she brings one of her hands up to cup his face.
She feels the churning in her stomach, the fear and dread of doubt ebbing its head in. She pushes it aside. She has to be honest.
“I love you, Hobie, more than anything so please, please don’t shut me out.” She whispers to him.
He doesn’t pause to let her words sink in, he doesn’t gasp, he just surges forward. He cups her face pulling her to meet him. His mouth finding hers in a rushed and needy kiss.
It’s not like any of the few times he’s kissed her before. It’s desperate in a way she’s never experienced from him. His mouth moves against hers, pressing into her, coaxing open her mouth.
Her arms move up to wrap around his shoulders. She pulls him tightly against her, meeting his force with a wave of her own. Her tongue meets his, as they press together.
Hobie’s hands start moving from holding her face to traveling down her body. He moves to grasp her thighs lifting them to wrap around him. He carries her over to the couch, pushing them both down.
He presses his hips into hers, pinning her into the couch as they both rake their hands over the other. Her hands move to caress down his chest. Gripping onto his shirt.
Hobie finally pulls back, the need for oxygen winning, as he looks down at her. His pupils blown, and his eyes almost looking black.
Her eyes are just as wild, her maroon hair fanning out around her. Framing her almost like a halo.
She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She needs him in a way that she’s only fantasized about.
His eyes bore into her and his hands tighten on her hips. He takes a breath, and he moves to press a kiss into her neck. She grips the back of his neck, gasping for air. His mouth moves against her neck, licking and nipping, moving his mouth back up to her lips.
He kisses her just as fiercely as before, one hand moving up to hold her jaw, pulling her closer.
She arches her back to slot herself against him, trying to get herself impossibly closer to him.
When Hobie pulls back this time, he presses a few more kisses to her cheeks then her jaw. He holds himself up, hovering above her, looking down softly. His chest heaving as he tries to regulate his breaths.
Mariana lays under him, hands still tightly gripping his shirt. She’s looking up at him, out of breath through half lidded eyes. She uncurls one of her hands to caress his face tenderly. A small smile taking over her lips.
He lets out an easy chuckle as he looks at her, eyes filled with adoration.
“Why do you have to make everything so difficult?” he whispers leaning into the soft touch of her hand.
She scoffs but keeps her smile. Her gaze just as loving as his. “I think you like that I’m difficult… keeps you on your toes.” She teases him, her voice quiet.
He shakes his head, brows furrowed, “What am I going to do with you?” He replies back, half serious half playful.
She moves her hands to cradle his face, her face looking the most vulnerable he’s ever seen her as she replies, “Love me.”
Her voice is timid, but she believes the words she’s saying as she looks up at him expectantly.
He gives her a wide smile, “That’s an easy answer.” He says leaning down to kiss her again, this time much softer.
They still had things to talk about. Hobie’s worry for her safety wasn’t going to disappear overnight, neither was their own self loathing they feel into in the darkest hours.
All of it could wait, at least until after tonight.
Tonight, they were in love. Wholly, fully, and honestly, they could admit the love they’ve desperately been avoiding since they saw each other in the pub.
Warmth filled Mariana’s heart as she reached up to wrap her arms tightly around Hobie. Like a moth to a bright burning flame she’s been pulled into him, body and soul. She clings to his warmth as her heart beats rapidly trying to escape her chest.
She’s never felt this intensely about someone before and while it should scare her, she’s never been happier. She doesn’t want this feeling to end.

Hey! Asking various artists and writers, do you have a Playlist or specific songs you gravitate toward to help you get in the right headspace while creating whump?
Anon I'm so sorry but I wrote you a 1500 word essay on one specific album. I literally have no explanation for myself. Take Pity On Me.
TLDR: Listen to "The Draw" please it's my favorite for any type of turmoil, and just "Overjoyed" in general. Also this album is good for semi-dramatic dialog and ~vibes~.
Why ‘All This Bad Blood’ by Bastille 2013 is the best album to write to:
Oh my god it’s 10 years old.
This has been my go-to album for writing since I got a laptop and started writing. I’m 100% serious. Part of it is most probably because it’s nostalgic for me, but I’ve completed a full essay on why this is the best album (for my style) to write to.
Part 1: Just a couple reasons
The Accent.
This is 100% also just My Brain because when my formative creative years were incredibly BBC/British heavy. We’re talking Chronicles of Narnia on audio books, Dr. Who, Sherlock, Merlin, Robin Hood, Adventures of Sara Jane. I’m honestly probably missing some but you get it. To the point where there was a period when I was around 15 or so I’d use british words/cadence with an American accent. (I still do it sometimes it’s weird).
Honestly part of my writing process to this day is to speak dialog out loud, and more often or not it’s in a british accent.
The Aesthetic
It’s pretty piano heavy, along with a main singer and some background singing that’s very easy to get lost in. There’s this nice kinda ethereal filter for many of the songs, so it just kinda slides into your brain and into the background. It’s listed in the alternative section but it’s very pop so it’s very common denominator.
“Songs Write My Story”
I literally put this album on shuffle once and made a plot based off of the vibes of each song. To my recollection there were some pretty decent parts. I’ll see if I can find it.
Part 2: The songs.
My absolute favorite reason to write to this album is the fact that so many of the songs have these wonderful, dramatic dialogue lines. When the music rises to the surface long enough to catch the words, they’re often good for like, semi-dramatic plot points/dialog lines.
As requested by literally no one, in fact I believe they’re all begging me to literally write anything else, I will now go through each song and pull out some lines that I find specifically “semi-dramatic” that I would either want to or have used as inspiration for my writing, as well as rate them and give them vibes.
Pompeii -  6/10 Writingness. Good but Tik Tok kinda ruined it. However the concept of Pompeii itself is Very Vibes and helps save it.  Oh where do we begin, the rubble or our sins?
Things We Lost to the Fire - 8/10 Writingness. Great Vibes. Very “our world collapsed and we’ve been living in the rubble and are numb to it.”  We were born with nothing and we sure as hell have nothing now.
Bad Blood - 5/10. A bit too specific to be multifunctional. Great ‘Sarcastic Reunion with Adversarial Side Character.”  And you said you always had my back Oh, but how were we to know? That these are the days that bind you Together, forever And these little things define you Forever, forever
Overjoyed - 10/10. Perfect semi-dramatic vibes. Is your character, sarcastic, genuine, dazed, prophetic? Resentful? Longing? This song works for all of them. Just the word “overjoyed” is not used enough.  Oh I feel overjoyed.
These Streets - 7/10 another nuanced one, but not quite as wide a range as Overjoyed.  I won’t show my face here anymore.
Weight of Living Pt. II - 3/10. Too good of a bop. I wanna jam I’m not writing. Do you like the person you’ve become?
Icarus - 8/10. Like a combination of Pompeii and Overjoyed. The concept of Icarus is such a rich creative one that it makes up for how much of a BOP it is (the “bop” index is a negative in this evaluation because it distracts me). This one is perfect for the “mentor trying to warn someone else of MC’s downfall.  Icarus is flying towards an early grave.  (also these are words but the vocal sections are just really inspiring on this one for me)
Oblivion - 5/10. Good, I was waiting for you to be great. It can be in the background but it’s not going to inspire anything.  Are you going to age with grace?
Flaws - 7/10. I kinda can’t listen to this one without mouthing along to it like I’m in a self-righteous argument, which is great for my writing style. The more I can inhibit a character the better and more I can write for them. So it’s a little narrow of inspiration but it always gets me there.  There’s a hole in my sole, I can’t fill it. Can you fill it?
You have always worn your flaws on your sleeve, and I have always buried them deep beneath the ground. Dig them out, let’s finish what we started.
Daniel in the Den - 9/10. Again, Daniel in the lion den is a great creative concept, gets me into the character, has emotion, it builds but i don’t find it fully distracting. Again not as broad as Overjoyed but I use this one often.  Felled in the night by the ones you think you love.
Laura Palmer - 9/10. Another great general go to. Conviction. Motivation, direction. Feels multi-functional to me because of the variety from the verses to chorus to bridge.  What a year and what a night, what terrifying final sights.
Get Home - 6/10. Honestly see “Oblivion”. Only got a little higher rating because the repeated “how am i going to get myself back home” is really good for inspiration. Still on the list, still great but nothing to write something home about (lol).  How am I going to get myself back home?
Poet - 3/10. This is probably one my favorite “adoration” songs but I just don’t find it particularly inspirational - although that’s probably because I don’t tend to write love stories or the such.  I have written you down, you will live forever.
The Silence - 4/10. Like Poet, a little too directly “adoration”, but I do appreciate it reminds me to use the term “my dear”.  My Dear, it is not enough to be dumbstruck.
Haunt - 8/10 Yeah we’re back babey. I need the reminder to make my characters more ominous. All of your characters should haunt the reader (good or bad lol). It’s not like I’m above you.
Weight of Living, Pt I - 8/10. There’s something solemnly hopeful about this to me. Are they regretful as they counsel the MC? Do they believe they can find happiness or are they resigned to their fate? You get to decide if this song is encouraging them or is someone giving up. I’m also a sucker for songs that set up a premise and evolve it through the song. It good.  Your albatross, let it go.
Sleepsong - 7/10. Feels dangerous. A little evil, perhaps? What are their intentions? Are they trying to help? If so, why?  It scares you, being alone.
Durban Skies - 5/10. See Oblivion. Probably a little better vibe, but not wildly inspiring like some of the others.  (honestly there’s isn’t a lyric that stands out to me in this one but I still like writing to it.)
Laughter Lines - 3/10. I am. Seeing a pattern. Songs that have a strong “love” element to them get lower ratings from me lol. (Again, not a lyric but the section talking about carving on trees inspired me to write a character who was illiterate but kept her “diary” by carving her emotions into a tree trunk. Her world didn’t have a lot of light, so she would often run her fingers across the carvings to relive memories.)
Previously on Other People’ Heartbreak - NA, it’s kinda a non song it’s just an intro to part II.
Of the Night - 3/10, See Weight of Living Pt II. Too fun, too boppy. I am bouncing I am not writing.
The Draw - 10/10. This one. This is one of the ones that I turn on if I’m having trouble writing anything. It just oozes conflict, specifically inner termoil which i just fucking eat up. I love it. This is my best writing song. So so so good.
(Oh my god just the entire song please just listen to it. Just this one).
What would you do - NA. I actually kinda skip this one for just Reasons. Again it’s a good song and I would write to it but I just don’t. This song has a TW for sexual assault and just. It’s kinda a lot to chew on.
Skulls - 8/10. This one escapes the “too good to write to” because oh god. The attitude of this song. It’s possessive. It’s threatening. It wants something… but, what? (However it is absolutely a bop which is why it’s not a 9 or 10) (Again it’s just the whole song)
Tuning out - 6/10. It’s a haunting rendition of Silent Night? So Lyrically it’s not too impressive but the vibes are good for writing.
Is this what you asked for? No not even a little bit. I did enjoy doing it tho that’s all that matters ...eheh....

How to store electric skateboard batteries in winter?
The lithium-ion batteries used in most electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) as well as electric skateboards are sensitive to:
- Use (charge and discharge)
- How we store them when not in use
- high temperature
- very low temperature
- Moisture
Here are some tips for storing electric skateboard batteries
1. How to use (charging, discharging)
If you can avoid full discharge and full charge, the life of the battery will be extended. The most effective method is to use the battery until it reaches about 20%, and then charge it to about 80%. Of course, in real life this is not always possible, as sometimes we need 100% capacity, but in many cases we can achieve this by planning how we will use the electric skateboard that day. If we use and completely discharge the battery, it is very important to charge it as soon as possible.
2. Longer storage time
If you don't plan to use your electric longboard for a long time (say more than two or three weeks), it's best to charge or discharge the battery to 40 - 50% and leave it that way (according to the Battery University website, the optimal storage charge is 40%). A good storage temperature is about 10-15 ℃ (50-60 ℉), but room temperature is also fine (generally between 5 and 25 ℃ (40-77 ℉)) if long-term storage is required and, if possible, every Every few weeks, up to a month, it is better to turn on and rotate the motor for a minute or so, as well as insert the plug into the socket, for example 10-15 minutes. The worst thing that can happen is a completely drained battery and no charge. Keeping them fully charged is also detrimental to their lives, so these scenarios should be avoided as much as possible.
3. High temperature
Very high temperatures are bad for batteries and can even be dangerous. Don't place your veymax electric skateboard and equipment in hot places, keep them out of direct sunlight during hot months, and never leave them in a car parked in the sun during the summer. The temperature inside the car may exceed 50°C, or even exceed 70°C (over 150°F), which is very dangerous because at such high temperatures, the battery can release toxic gases and even catch fire.
4. Although low temperatures around zero and below are not as bad as high temperatures, they are also detrimental to battery life and performance.
5. Moisture
Storing them in a dry place with good ventilation can protect lithium-ion batteries from rapid self-discharge and corrosion caused by moisture. If possible, it's best to place them on a wooden surface rather than a metal surface.
I wish you a happy and safe journey!

3 4 and 15 if they haven't been asked already!!
this is so late omfg im sorry-
Do they use nicknames for their contacts or do they list contacts by full name?
by default Victoria will save someone's surname and their department. if she respects the person she'll go to the effort of the full name, no note of their occupation or role necessary as she commits it to memory instead.
There are a few exceptions to this though but even then they err more towards insults (with questionable fondness implied) or notable failures/actions of the individual.
Who do they text most frequently?
Before her mother, Marion, died it used to be her - almost daily with little updates, griping to each other about co-workers, some vague complaints about relationships, recommending books or shows to either watch or avoid.
Nowadays Michiko Sanderson (née Arasaka) takes that mantle, though their conversations read as mundane - more confirming times when they're meeting up for lunch or coffee, occassional surface-level threads of gossip about whose fucking who. Y'know just girl talk.
Describe their computer. Is it a sticker covered laptop? A high-tech gaming computer?
Used to be she had a laptop for work - non-distinct from any other official Arasaka-issued hardware except for the fact it looked near new despite being a few years old, but after it was stolen she opted for a desktop terminal instead. Again, Arasaka-issued and top of the line courtesy of her position; powerful, black, and with an obnoxious flavouring of red LEDs that go unseen as she has the desktop under her desk.
Her personal device is more akin to a chromebook and is again in obnoxiously good condition, though it only sees use when Victoria's online shopping or researching non-work related topics (ma'am why are you so interested in the franklin expedition-)

1, 15, 20 for Renathal, 3, 11, 14 for Elisewin?
Thank you for these, I love them ☺️
1. Describe their phone case.
Renathal has used the same cheap IPhone case for years. Denathrius bought all his harvesters staff medallions cases with Revendreth’s logo on it when the department was first established and Renathal can’t bare to part with it, which is why his phone has remained upgraded for so long.
15. Describe their computer. Is it a sticker covered laptop? A high-tech gaming computer?
He has an out-of-date desktop in his office at work that he was promised years ago would be temporary. He also has a Microsoft surface laptop, purchased after much research and never regretted (he believes it’s the best combination of sleek aesthetic, easy transport, and high performance). No stickers, but he did buy the dark red model. No games downloaded (he’s not much of a gamer, unless there’s someone else to play with).
20. What’s in their email inbox?
Renathal‘s inbox is a thing of hyper organised beauty. He keeps it meticulously empty, everything organised into folders: one for student questions, one for staff questions, one dedicated solely to Denathrius’ emails, and a secret one marked Archive where he’s saved every email Denathrius ever sent that contained some sort of compliment about Renathal so he can revisit them occasionally (there’s about 6). He recently made the decision to move the Maw Walker’s emails from the Student Concerns folder to her own folder marked Exchange Student Concerns (for ease of keeping track of her progress, of course).
3. Do they use nicknames for their contacts or do they list contacts by full name?
Wow, this is amazing since this actually comes up soon, if I ever get the next chapter written. The Maw Walker’s contacts are all nicknames and for a very specific reason. (Renathal starts off as Hot Blonde and later graduates to Ren with a red heart symbol next to it)
11. Are they the kind of person who takes selfies?
Not for herself, no, but she’s not especially camera shy and will take selfies to send to other people.
14. You’ve just stumbled across their tumblr blog! Describe it.
It looks like a bot account. Default picture, no visible likes, and the name is something like thisismytumblraccount. She would have created it only to stalk someone specific for work reasons.

519.
Tumblr media
1 - What’s your favourite type of survey to take? Random questions, and I used to love the ones where you bolded song lyrics but I haven’t seen one like that for years now.
2 - What about your least favourite? Do you ever take these anyway if you can’t find anything else? I don’t like bolding surveys. I used to take them occasionally back in my Xanga days but I just find them a bit boring really.
3 - Do you have a favourite survey maker? How long have you been following their blog for? Surveys don’t tend to have tags on them anymore so I don’t really know.
4 - Do you ever get surveys from somewhere that isn’t Tumblr? What other sites do you like to use for finding surveys? Sometimes I look on LiveJournal, but generally there are enough on here for me to find - I often look through people’s archives if I can’t find any new ones too.
5 - Do you like to take surveys at a particular time of day? It depends on my mood really - at weekends it can be anytime time of day, but during the week it tends to be in the afternoons before Mike gets home.
6 - Do you have a favourite location to take surveys - eg. on your bed or in the living room? On the sofa as that’s the most comfortable place to sit, plus I can have my wax melts burning and there’s easy access to food, drink and the toilet lol.
7 - How often would you say you took surveys? Do you go through phases of taking loads and then stopping for a while? I don’t tend to take many during the week anymore as my main focus is work, but at weekends or during holidays I tend to take a lot more.
8 - Do you like to watch TV or listen to music while you take surveys? I like to have the TV on as background noise.
9 - Have you ever taken surveys with another person before? Nope. Nobody IRL knows I take these.
10 - Do people in real life know you take surveys? If not, would you be embarrassed if someone found out about your blog? No. I wouldn’t be embarrassed as such, but I don’t feel like it’s a part of my life that I need to share with other people.
11 - Do you often have something to eat and drink next to you while you take surveys? I pretty much always have a drink next to me regardless of what I’m doing. I don’t tend to eat while doing surveys though.
12 - What kind of chair or surface do you find yourself sitting on the most when you take them? The sofa. Very occasionally I’ll be in the bed.
13 - Have you ever taken surveys at work before? No.
14 - Do you prefer doing surveys on a laptop, a phone or another device? My laptop. I’ve tried using my phone a few times but I found it impossible to format it properly and I hate when they’re not formatted lol.
15 - What kind of surveys would you like to see more of? What about less of? Just random ones are good.
16 - Have you ever discovered new bands, TV shows or anything through reading other people’s surveys? Yeah, a few things here and there.
17 - Do you like to read other people’s answers? Are there some people whose blogs you always check? I read the answers of whoever I copy the survey from, but I don’t go and search out people’s answers or anything.
18 - Have you ever taken a survey while drunk or high? Drunk, yeah.
19 - Have you ever attempted the 5,000 question survey? Did you ever finish or did you find yourself getting bored part-way through? Yeah, but the questions were (IMO) a bit rubbish and generic, sorry. Though I guess there are only so many questions you can think of lol.
20 - What first got you into taking surveys? MySpace bulletins.
21 - How old were you (roughly) when you first started taking them? About 13-14 years old. That’s 20 years of my life, lol. It’s pretty insane when you think about it.
22 - What’s the reason behind you taking surveys? I just find them an interesting way to pass the time and they’re a good way of documenting my life.
23 - What’s one thing that would put you off taking or finishing a survey? Boring, generic questions or stupid questions like “what would you do if you woke up and found out you were a watermelon?” lol.
24 - In your opinion, what’s the ideal length for a survey? Would you not bother taking a survey if you thought it was too short or too long? 30-40 questions is ideal for me. I’d take longer/shorter ones if the questions were good though.
25 - Do you answer questions using proper spelling and grammar? Yeah, but only because that’s how I type automatically. I don’t even need to think about it.
26 - Do you prefer questions that require long answers or are you happy to take yes/no surveys? The former, but I don’t like surveys that are like, 4-5 long philosophical questions in one as it feels like I’m back at university.
27 - Is there a specific style of survey that you’ve never taken before? I don’t think so.
28 - What kind of surveys would you like to see in the future? That could be in terms of style or category or anything, really? I love category surveys but I feel like nobody really makes those anymore.
29 - Have you ever shared your surveys with friends and family on social media? I used to post them on MySpace back in the day but once I started using Xanga, I stopped sharing them on any kind of social media that my friends IRL could see or access.
30 - Do you find that time goes by quickly or slowly when you take surveys? It depends on how good the survey is and whether I get distracted or not.

What Features Should I Look for in a Laptop Bag?
A laptop bag is more than just a carrying case; it’s an essential accessory for anyone who frequently travels, works on-the-go, or simply needs a safe and stylish way to transport their laptop. With so many different types, designs, and brands available in the market, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. Whether you're a student, a business professional, or someone who just loves their tech, the right laptop bag can make a big difference in terms of comfort, protection, and convenience. When shopping for the perfect laptop bag, it's also important to consider the laptop bag price in Pakistan, as it varies depending on factors such as material, design, and brand.
Tumblr media
1. Laptop Size Compatibility
The most important factor when choosing a laptop bag is ensuring that it fits your laptop size. Laptop bags come in various sizes to accommodate different screen sizes, from compact 11-inch laptops to larger 17-inch models. Always check the laptop bag dimensions and compare them to your laptop's size. A bag that's too large can lead to your device shifting inside, while one that's too small could leave your laptop exposed to potential damage.
Small bags are ideal for compact laptops (11 to 13 inches).
Medium bags are best suited for standard laptops (14 to 15 inches).
Large bags work for bigger models (16 to 17 inches).
Some bags come with adjustable compartments or expandable sections to fit a range of laptop sizes, making them versatile options.
2. Protection and Padding
Laptop bags are meant to protect your device, and proper padding is crucial in achieving that. Look for bags with padded compartments or a dedicated laptop sleeve that securely cushions your laptop. High-density foam or thick cushioning can prevent accidental bumps, drops, and scratches.
Many high-quality bags use shock-resistant materials to ensure the safety of your device. If you often travel or commute, consider bags with extra padding in the bottom to protect your laptop when it's placed down on rough surfaces.
Check for reinforced corners: Some laptop bags come with extra padding or reinforcement at the corners, where damage is more likely to occur.
3. Material and Durability
The material of the laptop bag determines its longevity, weight, and ability to protect against the elements. When choosing a bag, consider factors like water resistance, durability, and comfort.
Nylon and Polyester: These materials are common for laptop bags due to their strength, water resistance, and affordable price.
Leather: Leather bags offer a classic, professional look and are very durable but might not be as water-resistant unless treated.
Canvas: While stylish, canvas bags may not provide the same level of durability or water resistance as synthetic options, but they can be a good choice for casual use.
Neoprene: Common for sleeves, neoprene offers flexibility and water resistance, providing light protection for your laptop.
If you plan to carry your bag in all kinds of weather, make sure the material can handle rain or snow. Some bags come with waterproof zippers or weather-resistant coatings to keep your laptop safe from moisture.
4. Comfort and Shoulder Straps
Carrying your laptop bag should be comfortable, especially if you have to commute or travel frequently. Look for best laptop bags with adjustable, padded shoulder straps that distribute the weight evenly. This is particularly important if you carry your laptop, charger, and other accessories, as it can add significant weight. The right bag will not only protect your device but also ensure maximum comfort during long hours of wear.
Tumblr media
Backpacks: These are ideal for distributing the weight evenly across both shoulders, reducing strain.
Messenger bags: Typically feature a single shoulder strap but should still be padded and adjustable for comfort.
Briefcase-style bags: Usually come with reinforced handles, but for extended periods of carrying, consider one with a detachable shoulder strap for more convenience.
Make sure the straps are wide enough to prevent digging into your shoulders, and always check for breathable mesh padding to reduce sweat and discomfort.
5. Storage and Organizational Features
A good laptop bag should have enough space to not only fit your laptop but also accommodate other essential items like chargers, cables, documents, and pens. Look for bags that have a variety of pockets, compartments, and organizers to keep your items well-organized.
Some useful features to consider include:
Dedicated compartments for accessories: Pockets for your phone, charger, power bank, pens, and business cards.
File/document space: If you need to carry documents, ensure there is a separate compartment that keeps them flat and wrinkle-free.
Quick-access pockets: Some bags feature front or side pockets that allow you to quickly grab your phone, wallet, or keys.
For those who carry multiple devices, such as a tablet or e-reader, look for bags with multiple padded compartments or separate sleeves for each device.
6. Style and Aesthetics
While functionality is key, the style of the bag matters too, especially if you're using it for professional purposes. Laptop bags come in a wide range of styles, from sleek and minimalist to more casual or bold designs. When choosing a bag, consider your personal style and where you'll be using it.
Business/Professional: If you’re looking for a more formal look, consider leather or a sleek, briefcase-style bag. These bags typically have clean lines, a professional appearance, and minimal embellishments.
Casual/Everyday: For a more laid-back or trendy look, there are backpacks or messenger bags made of canvas, nylon, or other materials that offer both style and function.
Tech-savvy/Modern: Tech-inspired bags often feature modern designs with bright colors or innovative materials, appealing to younger, tech-conscious individuals.
Make sure the style of the bag complements your lifestyle and looks polished for your needs, whether it’s for work, school, or travel.
7. Weight and Portability
The weight of the bag is a critical consideration. After all, a bag that’s too heavy even before you put your laptop inside can become a nuisance. Ideally, the bag should be light enough to carry without adding too much additional weight, especially if you’re already carrying other items like books or a lunch.
Backpacks generally tend to be lighter than briefcase-style bags, but even within each category, weight can vary significantly depending on the materials and features.
If you’re looking for a lightweight option, avoid bags with heavy hardware (like metal zippers or buckles) and opt for bags made of lighter synthetic materials.
8. Security Features
Security is another key feature to look for in a laptop bag, particularly if you’re carrying sensitive data or work documents. Some bags come with anti-theft features, such as lockable zippers, hidden pockets, or RFID-blocking compartments to protect your personal information. If you’re looking for a convenient way to shop, you can buy laptop bags online in Pakistanand choose from a variety of options that offer these essential security features.
Lockable zippers: Zippers that can be locked with a small combination lock or key.
RFID-blocking compartments: Bags with special linings to prevent unauthorized scanning of your credit cards, ID cards, and passports.
If you travel often, a bag with these security features can provide extra peace of mind.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
The right laptop bag is more than just a matter of style—it’s about protecting your valuable device and making your daily life easier. Focus on features like size compatibility, padding, material, comfort, and organizational capacity to ensure you get a bag that meets your needs. Whether you prefer a sleek leather briefcase, a practical backpack, or a stylish messenger bag, the right laptop bag will serve you well for years to come.
